Maria, I love your reminder to claim "one thing" and to focus on that moving forward. You might be surprised that even at my age and in my situation, I too have competing priorities that take me far away from what I feel myself "called to do." I am praying in thanksgving for you today!

I can imagine, Lisa! The demands may change, but life is always trying to pull us in a million directions. Thank God that we have opportunities to become recentered and remember why we do what we do.

This one was especially good, Maria. I enjoyed seeing, and almost feeling, your enthusiasm and sincerity. I am glad that you are able to attend these conferences and that you are taking an active roll.

I am thinking there must be at least one person who attended this conference and, maybe, has even been present at all the other conferences you have attended, with whom you connected - especially enjoyed. You could call or face time occasionally with that person(s) who "gets" it and together you two could revisit the topics and the feelings of being a Catholic writer. I would think that an occasional "visit" with that person(s) would rejuvenate you or refresh you. Maybe even give you a few new ideas or points of views that you could incorporate into your writing and books.

What a great idea! I do text with other authors from time to time, but scheduling a Zoom or FaceTime would be an even better way to keep this feeling going all year long.

Hi Maria. It was lovely to see you in Chicago and to hear your thoughts about it. I agree. Each year I go it strengthens my faith that I am doing what God wants me to do. Your presentation about it not being prideful to market your book was also very helpful.
