This week, I’m in the throes of surviving the last full week of summer. I can’t believe school is right around the corner. While excitement for the next school year is high, frustration and annoyances still reign among my kids. Instead of trying to combat their negativity with more negativity, I busted out my trusty fanny pack of kindness, which makes all the difference in our house.
Then I realized we needed to treat ourselves to our own version of kindness. It doesn’t have to involve Skittles, but words of compassion and positivity go a long way. Just try it and you’ll see.
