This week I’m in the throes of returning from our first ever family reunion! We had a great time at the beach. While I was there, I saw a woman who was more concerned with getting the perfect video of her walking to the beach instead of just being present with her child. It got me thinking, how much of what we see on social media is real, and how much is performance? And what happens to us if we become tempted to compare our insides to other people’s outsides?
